    LWV Resolution for Action and Awareness

    The League of Women Voters of Fremont County crafted and carried a resolution of action and awareness concerning Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons to both state and national LWV gatherings. The resolution gained near-unanimous approval from the recent national convention in Denver.

    Who She Is

    WHO SHE IS is a documentary that highlights lives of four women from Wind River in Wyoming caught in the MMIW epidemic in the U.S. By bringing these missing women to life on screen, through animation and first-person storytelling, the documentary aims to humanize the people behind the statistics.

    Statewide Report

    Recently the Wyoming Survey and Analysis Center examined administrative and archival data, analyzed media coverage on missing persons and homicide victims,and interviewed key stakeholders on the Wind River Indian Reservation (WRIR). This report presents findings from WYSAC’s research.

  • 2023 Update from Wyoming Missing and Murdered Indigenous People Task Force

    Since the first report’s release in 2021, the task force has continued to work on addressing the MMIP crisis in the State. This second statewide report details the task force’s accomplishments and progress made towards implementing the recommendations from the first report.
